Hi, I’m Teresa – Nice to Meet You!
Wool Tree was born in September 2018 after I was made redundant. I had two young boys to look after and needed something close to home and school.
I found this gorgeous little shop, full of character, nestled away in Oreston village, right opposite H Watts Florist. These traditional windows don’t bear sweets, but wool instead.
I’ve always been passionate about crafts and love to try new things. I’ve been knitting since I was about 10, and learnt to crochet when my youngest son was born. I’m definitely more of a crocheter than a knitter, but I do absolutely love knitting socks! Despite being left handed, and crocheting left handed, I actually knit right handed.

So lovely to pop in and see you on Wednesday and again on Thursday. Not having a local wool shop it was great to talk to someone who knew the same crochet designers as me and who had made the same designs. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Met Teresa for the first time last weekend. Lovely lady, very helpful – we had a nice chat about the workings of having small businesses. Will definitely be sourcing my yarn from her for all my makes at Bumbleebee Knitting.

Found this wonderful wool shop at last. Such a lovely welcome & nothing was too much as I changed my mind as such beautiful wool in shop. I will be visiting again very soon.
I asked what’s in the bags & was told all about the temperature blankets, which I found very interesting. Looking forward to the new scheepies wool to make the temperature blanket Xx
I visited Teresa in the the Wool Shop for the first time today. What a gorgeous quaint shop with a great selection of wool and Teresa is really knowledgable. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

this shop is amazing I feel like a kid in a sweet shop and the window display is fantastic if your into knitting ,crochet this really is the best shop for you and Teresa is so helpful love this enchanted shop

What a simply amazing shop. I so wish I lived closer, as my local wool shop in Hampshire sells a basic range of products and none of the unusual projects that Theresa stocks. Theresa also guides and advises which is what makes this shop the ‘whole package’ With Theresa’s support, via messenger, I learnt how to crochet!! Definitely worth a visit, but beware, you will not be able to leave without falling in love with a project or two

I finally managed to visit the wonderful place today after my move away and am so glad I did. I felt like a child visiting a sweet shop full of surprises. It was so wonderful to see and hear the lovely Teresa giving amazing advice and suggestions to her steady flow of of customers. I have never felt as special ever in a wool shop before and left with some amazing new purchases. Can’t wait to return.
